George A. Kirkham

George A. Kirkham obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario at London in 1973 and his Bachelor of Law from the University of Toronto in 1976. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1978 and has practised law in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario since that time.

George practices primarily in the area of civil litigation with a substantial focus on matrimonial law including divorce, separation, custody and access, division of property and related matters. As an adjunct to his family practice, he offers legal services to his clients in the areas of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estates and residential real estate matters.

A separate part of his practice of law included his designation as an Agent for Federal Prosecutions in the Niagara Region for eight years. This position included the prosecution of persons charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (narcotics), the Income Tax Act, the Customs Act and various other Federal Statutes. As a part of his continuing practice, George provides advice and representation to clients regarding issues arising our of those Statutes.

Within the community George has served as President of the Niagara Falls Family Y.M.C.A. and is a Past President of the Niagara Falls Bar Association. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and continues as a member of the Area Committee for Legal Aid, Niagara South, a position he has held since 1984.
