JOHN J. BRODERICK

SENIOR COUNSEL
John Broderick was born in Thorold, Ontario. After serving in World War II as a pilot in the R.C.A.F., he completed his education at St. Michael's College in Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. John has served as President of the Niagara Falls and Welland County Law Associations. He has served on the Council of the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario). In 1968 he was appointed Queens Counsel, in recognition of his excellence in civil litigation. In 1991 he was among the first lawyers to whom the Law Society of Upper Canada awarded the prestigious Law Society Medal. The award is given to "those who perform the ordinary tasks of a lawyer but with such diligence or effectiveness or so much to the benefit of the profession as a whole that they are deserving of recognition." John has practised in almost every area of law and has done it well.
John Broderick founded the firm that bears his name based on four principles:

John has a full practice which he attacks with great enthusiasm. He contributes to the Community as a "Leader of the Way" and has been part of the United Way Campaign Team for numerous years.

John Hopkins is a native of Niagara Falls and attended local elementary and secondary schools. He is a graduate of Queen's University (B.A. Honours) and the University of Toronto (LL.B.), called to the Bar in 1971 and Member of The Canadian Bar Association.
His recent community involvements include serving as a Director of the Y.M.C.A. of the Niagara Region, a member of the fundraising team for the new Niagara Falls Community Centre, and a member of Rotary International, an international service organization. John has also volunteered for the Niagara Falls Hospital Foundation and the Niagara Health Service Regional Foundation
John's areas of practice include corporate and commercial law, real estate, wills, and estates, commercial and general litigation and family law. His practice includes private business as well as public sector clients. He is also a member of the Niagara Collaborative Law Group.

George obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario at London in 1973 and his Bachelor of Law from the University of Toronto in 1976. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1978 and has practised law in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario since that time.
George’s focus is in the area of general family practice. This includes divorce, separation, custody and access, division of property and related matters. Associated with this family practice are services in the areas of Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estates, residential real estate and civil litigation.
Within the community George has served as President of the Niagara Falls Family Y.M.C.A., is a Past President of the Niagara Falls Bar Association and was a member of the Area Committee for Legal Aid for 25 years.

PARTNER
Rob is a Litigation Partner with Broderick & Partners LLP, with an emphasis on personal injury, insurance law and estate litigation. He has also developed an expertise in libel and slander law, representing his own clients and advising other lawyers in the conduct of their cases. He earned degrees from several colleges and universities along the way, including a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Rob has practiced law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1994 with compassion and an unwavering dedication to his clients’ needs. He brings this same compassion and dedication to his charitable endeavours, and is most proud to have been nominated as Volunteer of the Year for the great City of St. Catharines for his efforts on behalf of the Brain Injury Association of Niagara.
Rob devotes much of his free time to listening to heavy metal music, playing recreational hockey, and giving back to his community.

Marc was raised in the Niagara Region. He is a graduate of Brock University in Political Science (B.A. Honours) and the University of Ottawa (LL.B. Cum Laude). He was called to the Bar in 2003 and is a Member of the Canadian Bar Association.

Marc has been active in the community and his recent involvements include coaching youth basketball and soccer as well as being a member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce in the City of Niagara Falls.

Juan graduated with First Class Standing from Brock University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honours). While in his Senior year at Brock University, Juan completed an internship at a reputable law firm in St. Catharines.
Juan obtained his Juris Doctor in 2020 from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. Before graduating from law school, Juan worked as a law student at Broderick & Partners LLP and at the Niagara Crown Attorney’s office.
After his call to the Bar in 2020, Juan returned to Broderick & Partners LLP as an associate lawyer.
When not in the office, Juan enjoys working-out, hiking, playing soccer and watching movies.
